This year, the Lunar New Year starts on February 1st, 2022. Prior to the Chinese New Year, it is important to update the feng shui in your home so that you start the year on the right foot. Follow these easy guidelines to refresh your space, raise the energy of your home, and therefore raise the energy of your life.
Make Repairs
Check your home and make sure that everything is working properly. Fix leaky faucets and running toilets to retain your wealth. Ensure that your windows and doors open easily and are not blocked from opening fully to invite in new opportunities. Make sure that your bed and desk are in tip-top shape.
Declutter
Donate clothing that you haven’t worn in a while, recycle old papers and magazines, swap books with friends. Pay special care to your dishes and eating utensils - damaged silverware tarnishes your luck and a general feeling of abundance. Whatever is sitting around untouched will accumulate stagnant sha chi (draining energy) and also take up room that new wonderful and exciting items could use instead. Leave extra room on shelves and in cabinets, packed storage means that there isn’t room for newness. Consider also your digital spaces, how full is your desktop or phone storage? Clean
Your windows are the eyes of your home, make sure they are clean and clear so you can see and accept every opportunity that comes your way. Also thoroughly clean your floors, entry doors, doorknobs, and trim, and countertops to ease the flow of chi throughout your space. The mirrors in your space reflect back to you a vision of yourself. Are they as clean as possible so your confidence isn't harmed? Indulge in self-care and cleanse your physical body as well with masks and scrubs.
Space Clearing
During the day, open all windows and doors to invite in fresh chi. Starting at the front door, light sage or incense and carry it around the perimeter of every room in a clockwise direction. Stock Up
Traditionally it is best to have your kitchen fully stocked for the first 15 days of the year. Dispose of any old food and seasonings and replace them with freshness. Empty out your storage jars, clean them, and then refill them up to the top. Starting your year with abundance will have a wonderful effect on your future.

Flower Essence Cleanse
Clean your ritual tools, talismans, and feng shui cures using a high vibe flower essence water. Fill a bowl with fresh filtered water and add flower petals. Place the bowl in the sun for 10 minutes, and then dip a clean cloth. Wring out excess water and use the cloth as a gentle wipe to clean all of your items.

Our flagship offering begins with a conversation about your goals and how you use your space. Customized energetic maps of your home or business are prepared in advance, using Classical Feng Shui systems, including the Bagua, Eight Mansions (Ba Zhai), Flying Star Feng Shui, and incorporating your own personal Ming Gua lucky directions. During the session, we review your floor plan and walk through each area with specific recommendations for layout, furniture placement, color, elemental, and energetic balance. After the consultation, you receive a detailed written summary and a follow up email with relevant links or items to incorportate. In-person consultations also include a space clearing and energetic reset. Sessions are equally effective whether conducted in person or virtually.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes, virtual Feng Shui consultations are available worldwide. Upload your floor plan and photos in advance, and Susan will guide you through personalized Feng Shui adjustments as if you were working on-site.
What types of spaces do you work with?
Residential homes, apartments, offices, studios, and commercial spaces. Susan also also collaborates with developers, architects, and designers on pre-construction Feng Shui reviews to support optimal flow, comfort, and long-term value from the planning stage.
How should I prepare for my Feng Shui session?
Before your consultation, please share your floor plan, address, and birthdates (used to calculate lucky directions) at least one week in advance. It’s also helpful to consider which areas of life you’d like to support, such as health, relationships, career, or finances. If you don’t have a floor plan, an easy-to-use tool will be provided to help you create one. Other than that, leave your place how it usually is! It is best for Susan to see how you are authentically using your space.
How soon will I notice results?
Some clients notice shifts in energy and clarity immediately, while others experience gradual changes over weeks or months. Results depend on consistency and how fully the recommendations are implemented. Many clients report long-term improvements as the space continues to support them.
